rsv≡尼≡1≡2≡that Hana'ni, one of my brethren, came with certain men out of Judah; and I asked them concerning the Jews that survived, who had escaped exile, and concerning Jerusalem.
cuv≡尼≡1≡3≡他們對我說：「那些被擄歸回剩下的人在猶大省遭大難，受凌辱；並且耶路撒冷的城牆拆毀，城門被火焚燒。」
rsv≡尼≡1≡3≡And they said to me, 'The survivors there in the province who escaped exile are in great trouble and shame; the wall of Jerusalem is broken down, and its gates are destroyed by fire.'
cuv≡尼≡1≡4≡我聽見這話，就坐下哭泣，悲哀幾日，在天上的神面前禁食祈禱，說：
rsv≡尼≡1≡4≡When I heard these words I sat down and wept, and mourned for days; and I continued fasting and praying before the God of heaven.
cuv≡尼≡1≡5≡「耶和華天上的神，大而可畏的神啊，你向愛你、守你誡命的人守約施慈愛。
rsv≡尼≡1≡5≡And I said, 'O LORD God of heaven, the great and terrible God who keeps covenant and steadfast love with those who love him and keep his commandments;
cuv≡尼≡1≡6≡願你睜眼看，側耳聽，你僕人晝夜在你面前為你眾僕人以色列民的祈禱，承認我們以色列人向你所犯的罪；我與我父家都有罪了。
rsv≡尼≡1≡6≡let thy ear be attentive, and thy
eyes open, to hear the prayer of thy servant which
I now pray before thee day and night for the
people of Israel thy servants, confessing the sins
of the people of Israel, which we have sinned
against thee. Yea, I and my father's house have
sinned.
cuv≡尼≡1≡7≡我們向你所行的甚是邪惡，沒有遵守你藉著僕人摩西所吩咐的誡命、律例、典章。
rsv≡尼≡1≡7≡We have acted very corruptly against thee, and have not kept the commandments, the statutes, and the ordinances which thou didst command thy servant Moses.
cuv≡尼≡1≡8≡求你記念所吩咐你僕人摩西的話，說：『你們若犯罪，我就把你們分散在萬民中；
rsv≡尼≡1≡8≡Remember the word which thou didst command thy servant Moses, saying, If you are unfaithful, I will scatter you among the peoples;
cuv≡尼≡1≡9≡但你們若歸向我，謹守遵行我的誡命，你們被趕散的人雖在天涯，我也必從那裡將他們招聚回來，帶到我所選擇立為我名的居所。』
rsv≡尼≡1≡9≡but if you return to me and keep my commandments and do them, though your dispersed be under the farthest skies, I will gather them thence and bring them to the place which I have chosen, to make my name dwell there.'
cuv≡尼≡1≡10≡這都是你的僕人、你的百姓，就是你用大力和大能的手所救贖的。
rsv≡尼≡1≡10≡They are thy servants and thy people, whom thou hast redeemed by thy great power and by thy strong hand.
cuv≡尼≡1≡11≡主啊，求你側耳聽你僕人的祈禱，和喜愛敬畏你名眾僕人的祈禱，使你僕人現今亨通，在王面前蒙恩。」我是作王酒政的。
rsv≡尼≡1≡11≡O Lord, let thy ear be attentive
to the prayer of thy servant, and to the prayer of
thy servants who delight to fear thy name; and
give success to thy servant today, and grant him
mercy in the sight of this man.' Now I was

rsv≡尼≡2≡1≡In the month of Nisan, in the twentieth year of King Ar-ta-xerx'es, when wine was before him, I took up the wine and gave it to the king. Now I had not been sad in his presence.
cuv≡尼≡2≡2≡王對我說：「你既沒有病，為甚麼面帶愁容呢？這不是別的，必是你心中愁煩。」於是我甚懼怕。
rsv≡尼≡2≡2≡And the king said to me, 'Why is your face sad, seeing you are not sick? This is nothing else but sadness of the heart.' Then I was very much afraid.
cuv≡尼≡2≡3≡我對王說：「願王萬歲！我列祖墳墓所在的那城荒涼，城門被火焚燒，我豈能面無愁容麼？」
rsv≡尼≡2≡3≡I said to the king, 'Let the king live for ever! Why should not my face be sad, when the city, the place of my fathers' sepulchres, lies waste, and its gates have been destroyed by fire?'
cuv≡尼≡2≡4≡王問我說：「你要求甚麼？」於是我默禱天上的神。
rsv≡尼≡2≡4≡Then the king said to me, 'For what do you make request?' So I prayed to the God of heaven.
cuv≡尼≡2≡5≡我對王說：「僕人若在王眼前蒙恩，王若喜歡，求王差遣我往猶大，到我列祖墳墓所在的那城去，我好重新建造。」
rsv≡尼≡2≡5≡And I said to the king, 'If it pleases the king, and if your servant has found favor in your sight, that you send me to Judah, to the city of my fathers' sepulchres, that I may rebuild it.'
cuv≡尼≡2≡6≡那時王后坐在王的旁邊。王問我說：「你去要多少日子？幾時回來？」我就定了日期。於是王喜歡差遣我去。
rsv≡尼≡2≡6≡And the king said to me (the queen sitting beside him), 'How long will you be gone, and when will you return?' So it pleased the king to send me; and I set him a time.
cuv≡尼≡2≡7≡我又對王說：「王若喜歡，求王賜我詔書，通知大河西的省長准我經過，直到猶大；
rsv≡尼≡2≡7≡And I said to the king,'If it pleases the king, let letters be given me to the governors of the province Beyond the River, that they may let me pass through until I come to Judah;
cuv≡尼≡2≡8≡又賜詔書，通知管理王園林的亞薩，使他給我木料，作屬殿營樓之門的橫梁和城牆，與我自己房屋使用的。」王就允准我，因我神施恩的手幫助我。
rsv≡尼≡2≡8≡and a letter to Asaph, the keeper
of the king's forest, that he may give me timber
to make beams for the gates of the fortress of the
temple, and for the wall of the city, and for the
house which I shall occupy.' And the king granted
me what I asked, for the good hand of my God was
upon me.

rsv≡尼≡2≡9≡Then I came to the governors of the province Beyond the River, and gave them the king's letters. Now the king had sent with me officers of the army and horsemen.

rsv≡尼≡2≡10≡But when Sanbal'lat the Hor'onite and Tobi'ah the servant, the Ammonite, heard this, it displeased them greatly that some one had come to seek the welfare of the children of Israel.
cuv≡尼≡2≡11≡我到了耶路撒冷，在那裡住了三日。
rsv≡尼≡2≡11≡So I came to Jerusalem and was there three days.
cuv≡尼≡2≡12≡我夜間起來，有幾個人也一同起來；但神使我心裡要為耶路撒冷作甚麼事，我並沒有告訴人。除了我騎的牲口以外，也沒有別的牲口在我那裡。
rsv≡尼≡2≡12≡Then I arose in the night, I and a few men with me; and I told no one what my God had put into my heart to do for Jerusalem. There was no beast with me but the beast on which I rode.
cuv≡尼≡2≡13≡當夜我出了谷門，往野狗井去（野狗：或作龍），到了糞廠門，察看耶路撒冷的城牆，見城牆拆毀，城門被火焚燒。
rsv≡尼≡2≡13≡I went out by night by the Valley Gate to the Jackal's Well and to the Dung Gate, and I inspected the walls of Jerusalem which were broken down and its gates which had been destroyed by fire.
cuv≡尼≡2≡14≡我又往前，到了泉門和王池，但所騎的牲口沒有地方過去。
rsv≡尼≡2≡14≡Then I went on to the Fountain Gate and to the King's Pool; but there was no place for the beast that was under me to pass.
cuv≡尼≡2≡15≡於是夜間沿溪而上，察看城牆，又轉身進入谷門，就回來了。
rsv≡尼≡2≡15≡Then I went up in the night by the valley and inspected the wall; and I turned back and entered by the Valley Gate, and so returned.
cuv≡尼≡2≡16≡我往那裡去，我作甚麼事，官長都不知道。我還沒有告訴猶大平民、祭司、貴冑、官長，和其餘作工的人。
rsv≡尼≡2≡16≡And the officials did not know where I had gone or what I was doing; and I had not yet told the Jews, the priests, the nobles, the officials, and the rest that were to do the work.
cuv≡尼≡2≡17≡以後，我對他們說：「我們所遭的難，耶路撒冷怎樣荒涼，城門被火焚燒，你們都看見了。來吧，我們重建耶路撒冷的城牆，免得再受凌辱！」
rsv≡尼≡2≡17≡Then I said to them, 'You see the trouble we are in, how Jerusalem lies in ruins with its gates burned. Come, let us build the wall of Jerusalem, that we may no longer suffer disgrace.'
cuv≡尼≡2≡18≡我告訴他們我神施恩的手怎樣幫助我，並王對我所說的話。他們就說：「我們起來建造吧！」於是他們奮勇作這善工。
rsv≡尼≡2≡18≡And I told them of the hand of my God which had been upon me for good, and also of the words which the king had spoken to me. And they said, 'Let us rise up and build.' So they strengthened their hands for the good work.
cuv≡尼≡2≡19≡但和倫人參巴拉，並為奴的亞捫人多比雅和亞拉伯人基善聽見就嗤笑我們，藐視我們，說：「你們作甚麼呢？要背叛王麼？」
rsv≡尼≡2≡19≡But when Sanbal'lat the Hor'onite and Tobi'ah the servant, the Ammonite, and Geshem the Arab heard of it, they derided us and despised us and said, 'What is this thing that you are doing? Are you rebelling against the king?'
cuv≡尼≡2≡20≡我回答他們說：「天上的神必使我們亨通。我們作他僕人的，要起來建造；你們卻在耶路撒冷無分、無權、無紀念。」
rsv≡尼≡2≡20≡Then I replied to them, 'The God of heaven will make us prosper, and we his servants will arise and build; but you have no portion or right or memorial in Jerusalem.'
cuv≡尼≡3≡1≡那時，大祭司以利亞實和他的弟兄眾祭司起來建立羊門，分別為聖，安立門扇，又築城牆到哈米亞樓，直到哈楠業樓，分別為聖。
rsv≡尼≡3≡1≡Then Eli'ashib the high priest rose up with his brethren the priests and they built the Sheep Gate. They consecrated it and set its doors; they consecrated it as far as the Tower of the Hundred, as far as the Tower of Hanan'el.
cuv≡尼≡3≡2≡其次是耶利哥人建造。其次是音利的兒子撒刻建造。
rsv≡尼≡3≡2≡And next to him the men of Jericho built. And next to them Zaccur the son of Imri built.

rsv≡尼≡3≡3≡And the sons of Hassena'ah built the Fish Gate; they laid its beams and set its doors, its bolts, and its bars.

rsv≡尼≡3≡4≡And next to them Mer'emoth the son of Uri'ah, son of Hakkoz repaired. And next to them Meshul'lam the son of Berechi'ah, son of Meshez'abel repaired. And next to them Zadok the son of Ba'ana repaired.
cuv≡尼≡3≡5≡其次是提哥亞人修造；但是他們的貴冑不用肩（原文是頸項）擔他們主的工作。
rsv≡尼≡3≡5≡And next to them the Teko'ites repaired; but their nobles did not put their necks to the work of their Lord.
cuv≡尼≡3≡6≡巴西亞的兒子耶何耶大與比所玳的兒子米書蘭修造古門，架橫梁，安門扇和閂鎖。
rsv≡尼≡3≡6≡And Joi'ada the son of Pase'ah and Meshul'lam the son of Besodei'ah repaired the Old Gate; they laid its beams and set its doors, its bolts, and its bars.
cuv≡尼≡3≡7≡其次是基遍人米拉提，米倫人雅頓與基遍人，並屬河西總督所管的米斯巴人修造。
rsv≡尼≡3≡7≡And next to them repaired Melati'ah the Gib'eonite and Jadon the Mero'nothite, the men of Gibeon and of Mizpah, who were under the jurisdiction of the governor of the province Beyond the River.

rsv≡尼≡3≡8≡Next to them Uz'ziel the son of Harhai'ah, goldsmiths, repaired. Next to him Hanani'ah, one of the perfumers, repaired; and they restored Jerusalem as far as the Broad Wall.

rsv≡尼≡3≡9≡Next to them Rephai'ah the son of Hur, ruler of half the district of Jerusalem, repaired.

rsv≡尼≡3≡13≡Hanun and the inhabitants of Zano'ah repaired the Valley Gate; they rebuilt it and set its doors, its bolts, and its bars, and repaired a thousand cubits of the wall, as far as the Dung Gate.

rsv≡尼≡3≡14≡Malchi'jah the son of Rechab, ruler of the district of Beth-hacche'rem, repaired the Dung Gate; he rebuilt it and set its doors, its bolts, and its bars.

Fountain Gate; he rebuilt it and covered it and
set its doors, its bolts, and its bars;and he
built the wall of the Pool of Shelah of the king's
garden, as far

rsv≡尼≡3≡16≡After him Nehemi'ah the son of Azbuk, ruler of half the district of Beth-zur, repaired to a point opposite the sepulchres of David, to the artificial pool, and to the house of the mighty men.

rsv≡尼≡3≡26≡and the temple servants living on Ophel repaired to a point opposite the Water Gate on the east and the projecting tower.

rsv≡尼≡3≡30≡After him Hanani'ah the son of Shelemi'ah and Hanun the sixth son of Zalaph repaired another section. After him Meshul'lam the son of Berechi'ah repaired opposite his chamber.
cuv≡尼≡3≡31≡其次是銀匠瑪基雅修造到尼提寧和商人的房屋，對著哈米弗甲門，直到城的角樓。
rsv≡尼≡3≡31≡After him Malchi'jah, one of the goldsmiths, repaired as far as the house of the temple servants and of the merchants, opposite the Muster Gate, and to the upper chamber of the corner.

rsv≡尼≡3≡32≡And between the upper chamber of the corner and the Sheep Gate the goldsmiths and the merchants repaired.

rsv≡尼≡4≡1≡Now when Sanbal'lat heard that we were building the wall, he was angry and greatly enraged, and he ridiculed the Jews.
cuv≡尼≡4≡2≡對他弟兄和撒瑪利亞的軍兵說：「這些軟弱的猶大人作甚麼呢？要保護自己麼？要獻祭麼？要一日成功麼？要從土堆裡拿出火燒的石頭再立牆麼？」
rsv≡尼≡4≡2≡And he said in the presence of his
brethren and of the army of Sama'ria, 'What are
these feeble Jews doing? Will they restore things?
Will they sacrifice? Will they finish up in a day?
Will they revive the stones out of the heaps of
rubbish, and burned ones at that?'
cuv≡尼≡4≡3≡亞捫人多比雅站在旁邊，說：「他們所修造的石牆，就是狐狸上去也必跐倒。」
rsv≡尼≡4≡3≡Tobi'ah the Ammonite was by him, and he said, 'Yes, what they are building -- if a fox goes up on it he will break down their stone wall!
cuv≡尼≡4≡4≡我們的神啊，求你垂聽，因為我們被藐視。求你使他們的毀謗歸於他們的頭上，使他們在擄到之地作為掠物。
rsv≡尼≡4≡4≡Hear, O our God, for we are despised; turn back their taunt upon their own heads, and give them up to be plundered in a land where they are captives.
cuv≡尼≡4≡5≡不要遮掩他們的罪孽，不要使他們的罪惡從你面前塗抹，因為他們在修造的人眼前惹動你的怒氣。
rsv≡尼≡4≡5≡Do not cover their guilt, and let not their sin be blotted out from thy sight; for they have provoked thee to anger before the builders.

rsv≡尼≡4≡6≡So we built the wall; and all the wall was joined together to half its height. For the people had a mind to work.
cuv≡尼≡4≡7≡參巴拉、多比雅、亞拉伯人、亞捫人、亞實突人聽見修造耶路撒冷城牆，著手進行堵塞破裂的地方，就甚發怒。
rsv≡尼≡4≡7≡But when Sanbal'lat and Tobi'ah and the Arabs and the Ammonites and the Ash'dodites heard that the repairing of the walls of Jerusalem was going forward and that the breaches were beginning to be closed, they were very angry;
cuv≡尼≡4≡8≡大家同謀要來攻擊耶路撒冷，使城內擾亂。
rsv≡尼≡4≡8≡and they all plotted together to come and fight against Jerusalem and to cause confusion in it.
cuv≡尼≡4≡9≡然而，我們禱告我們的神，又因他們的緣故，就派人看守，晝夜防備。
rsv≡尼≡4≡9≡And we prayed to our God, and set a guard as a protection against them day and night.
cuv≡尼≡4≡10≡猶大人說：「灰土尚多，扛抬的人力氣已經衰敗，所以我們不能建造城牆。」
rsv≡尼≡4≡10≡But Judah said, 'The strength of the burden-bearers is failing, and there is much rubbish; we are not able to work on the wall.'
cuv≡尼≡4≡11≡我們的敵人且說：「趁他們不知不見，我們進入他們中間，殺他們，使工作止住。」
rsv≡尼≡4≡11≡And our enemies said, 'They will not know or see till we come into the midst of them and kill them and stop the work.'
cuv≡尼≡4≡12≡那靠近敵人居住的猶大人十次從各處來見我們，說：「你們必要回到我們那裡。」

cuv≡尼≡4≡13≡所以我使百姓各按宗族拿刀、拿槍、拿弓站在城牆後邊低窪的空處。
rsv≡尼≡4≡13≡So in the lowest parts of the space behind the wall, in open places, I stationed the people according to their families, with their swords, their spears, and their bows.
cuv≡尼≡4≡14≡我察看了，就起來對貴冑、官長，和其餘的人說：「不要怕他們！當記念主是大而可畏的。你們要為弟兄、兒女、妻子、家產爭戰。」
rsv≡尼≡4≡14≡And I looked, and arose, and said
to the nobles and to the officials and to the rest
of the people, 'Do not be afraid of them. Remember
the Lord, who is great and terrible, and fight for
your brethren, your sons, your daughters, your
wives, and your homes.'
cuv≡尼≡4≡15≡仇敵聽見我們知道他們的心意，見神也破壞他們的計謀，就不來了。我們都回到城牆那裡，各作各的工。
rsv≡尼≡4≡15≡When our enemies heard that it was known to us and that God had frustrated their plan, we all returned to the wall, each to his work.
cuv≡尼≡4≡16≡從那日起，我的僕人一半作工，一半拿槍、拿盾牌、拿弓、穿（或作：拿）鎧甲，官長都站在猶大眾人的後邊。
rsv≡尼≡4≡16≡From that day on, half of my servants worked on construction, and half held the spears, shields, bows, and coats of mail; and the leaders stood behind all the house of Judah,
cuv≡尼≡4≡17≡修造城牆的，扛抬材料的，都一手作工一手拿兵器。
rsv≡尼≡4≡17≡who were building on the wall. Those who carried burdens were laden in such a way that each with one hand labored on the work and with the other held his weapon.
cuv≡尼≡4≡18≡修造的人都腰間佩刀修造，吹角的人在我旁邊。
rsv≡尼≡4≡18≡And each of the builders had his sword girded at his side while he built. The man who sounded the trumpet was beside me.
cuv≡尼≡4≡19≡我對貴冑、官長，和其餘的人說：「這工程浩大，我們在城牆上相離甚遠；
rsv≡尼≡4≡19≡And I said to the nobles and to the officials and to the rest of the people, 'The work is great and widely spread, and we are separated on the wall, far from one another.
cuv≡尼≡4≡20≡你們聽見角聲在那裡，就聚集到我們那裡去。我們的神必為我們爭戰。」
rsv≡尼≡4≡20≡In the place where you hear the sound of the trumpet, rally to us there. Our God will fight for us.'
cuv≡尼≡4≡21≡於是，我們作工，一半拿兵器，從天亮直到星宿出現的時候。
rsv≡尼≡4≡21≡So we labored at the work, and half of them held the spears from the break of dawn till the stars came out.

rsv≡尼≡4≡22≡I also said to the people at that time, 'Let every man and his servant pass the night within Jerusalem, that they may be a guard for us by night and may labor by day.'

rsv≡尼≡4≡23≡So neither I nor my brethren nor my servants nor the men of the guard who followed me, none of us took off our clothes; each kept his weapon in his hand.
cuv≡尼≡5≡1≡百姓和他們的妻大大呼號，埋怨他們的弟兄猶大人。
rsv≡尼≡5≡1≡Now there arose a great outcry of the people and of their wives against their Jewish brethren.

rsv≡尼≡5≡2≡For there were those who said, 'With our sons and our daughters, we are many; let us get grain, that we may eat and keep alive.'

rsv≡尼≡5≡3≡There were also those who said, 'We are mortgaging our fields, our vineyards, and our houses to get grain because of the famine.'

rsv≡尼≡5≡4≡And there were those who said, 'We have borrowed money for the king's tax upon our fields and our vineyards.
cuv≡尼≡5≡5≡我們的身體與我們弟兄的身體一樣；我們的兒女與他們的兒女一般。現在我們將要使兒女作人的僕婢，我們的女兒已有為婢的；我們並無力拯救，因為我們的田地、葡萄園已經歸了別人。」
rsv≡尼≡5≡5≡Now our flesh is as the flesh of
our brethren, our children are as their children;
yet we are forcing our sons and our daughters to
be slaves, and some of our daughters have already
been enslaved; but it is not in our power to help
it, for other men have our fields and our
vineyards.'
cuv≡尼≡5≡6≡我聽見他們呼號說這些話，便甚發怒。
rsv≡尼≡5≡6≡I was very angry when I heard their outcry and these words.
cuv≡尼≡5≡7≡我心裡籌劃，就斥責貴冑和官長說：「你們各人向弟兄取利！」於是我招聚大會攻擊他們。
rsv≡尼≡5≡7≡I took counsel with myself, and I brought charges against the nobles and the officials. I said to them, 'You are exacting interest, each from his brother.' And I held a great assembly against them,
cuv≡尼≡5≡8≡我對他們說：「我們盡力贖回我們弟兄，就是賣與外邦的猶大人；你們還要賣弟兄，使我們贖回來麼？」他們就靜默不語，無話可答。
rsv≡尼≡5≡8≡and said to them, 'We, as far as we are able, have bought back our Jewish brethren who have been sold to the nations; but you even sell your brethren that they may be sold to us!' They were silent, and could not find a word to say.
cuv≡尼≡5≡9≡我又說：「你們所行的不善！你們行事不當敬畏我們的神麼？不然，難免我們的仇敵外邦人毀謗我們。
rsv≡尼≡5≡9≡So I said, 'The thing that you are doing is not good. Ought you not to walk in the fear of our God to prevent the taunts of the nations our enemies?
cuv≡尼≡5≡10≡我和我的弟兄與僕人也將銀錢糧食借給百姓；我們大家都當免去利息。
rsv≡尼≡5≡10≡Moreover I and my brethren and my servants are lending them money and grain. Let us leave off this interest.
cuv≡尼≡5≡11≡如今我勸你們將他們的田地、葡萄園、橄欖園、房屋，並向他們所取的銀錢、糧食、新酒，和油，百分之一的利息都歸還他們。」
rsv≡尼≡5≡11≡Return to them this very day their fields, their vineyards, their olive orchards, and their houses, and the hundredth of money, grain, wine, and oil which you have been exacting of them.'
cuv≡尼≡5≡12≡眾人說：「我們必歸還，不再向他們索要，必照你的話行。」我就召了祭司來，叫眾人起誓，必照著所應許的而行。
rsv≡尼≡5≡12≡Then they said, 'We will restore these and require nothing from them. We will do as you say.' And I called the priests, and took an oath of them to do as they had promised.
cuv≡尼≡5≡13≡我也抖著胸前的衣襟，說：「凡不成就這應許的，願神照樣抖他離開家產和他勞碌得來的，直到抖空了。」會眾都說：「阿們！」又讚美耶和華。百姓就照著所應許的去行。
rsv≡尼≡5≡13≡I also shook out my lap and said,
'So may God shake out every man from his house and
from his labor who does not perform this promise.
So may he be shaken out and emptied.' And all the
assembly said 'Amen' and praised the LORD. And the
people did as they had promised.
cuv≡尼≡5≡14≡自從我奉派作猶大地的省長，就是從亞達薛西王二十年直到三十二年，共十二年之久，我與我弟兄都沒有喫省長的俸祿。
rsv≡尼≡5≡14≡Moreover from the time that I was
appointed to be their governor in the land of
Judah, from the twentieth year to the
thirty-second year of Ar-ta-xerx'es the king,
twelve years, neither I nor my brethren ate the
food allowance of the governor.
cuv≡尼≡5≡15≡在我以前的省長加重百姓的擔子，每日索要糧食和酒，並銀子四十舍客勒，就是他們的僕人也轄制百姓；但我因敬畏神不這樣行。
rsv≡尼≡5≡15≡The former governors who were before me laid heavy burdens upon the people, and took from them food and wine, besides forty shekels of silver. Even their servants lorded it over the people. But I did not do so, because of the fear of God.
cuv≡尼≡5≡16≡並且我恆心修造城牆，並沒有置買田地；我的僕人也都聚集在那裡作工。
rsv≡尼≡5≡16≡I also held to the work on this wall, and acquired no land; and all my servants were gathered there for the work.
cuv≡尼≡5≡17≡除了從四圍外邦中來的猶大人以外，有猶大平民和官長一百五十人在我席上喫飯。
rsv≡尼≡5≡17≡Moreover there were at my table a hundred and fifty men, Jews and officials, besides those who came to us from the nations which were about us.
cuv≡尼≡5≡18≡每日預備一隻公牛，六隻肥羊，又預備些飛禽；每十日一次，多預備各樣的酒。雖然如此，我並不要省長的俸祿，因為百姓服役甚重。
rsv≡尼≡5≡18≡Now that which was prepared for
one day was one ox and six choice sheep; fowls
likewise were prepared for me, and every ten days
skins of wine in abundance; yet with all this I
did not demand the food allowance of the governor,
because the servitude was heavy upon this people.
cuv≡尼≡5≡19≡我的神啊，求你記念我為這百姓所行的一切事，施恩與我。
rsv≡尼≡5≡19≡Remember for my good, O my God, all that I have done for this people.
cuv≡尼≡6≡1≡參巴拉、多比雅、亞拉伯人基善和我們其餘的仇敵聽見我已經修完了城牆，其中沒有破裂之處（那時我還沒有安門扇），
rsv≡尼≡6≡1≡Now when it was reported to Sanbal'lat and Tobi'ah and to Geshem the Arab and to the rest of our enemies that I had built the wall and that there was no breach left in it (although up to that time I had not set up the doors in the gates),
cuv≡尼≡6≡2≡參巴拉和基善就打發人來見我，說：「請你來，我們在阿挪平原的一個村莊相會。」他們卻想害我。
rsv≡尼≡6≡2≡Sanbal'lat and Geshem sent to me, saying, 'Come and let us meet together in one of the villages in the plain of Ono.' But they intended to do me harm.
cuv≡尼≡6≡3≡於是我差遣人去見他們，說：「我現在辦理大工，不能下去。焉能停工下去見你們呢？」
rsv≡尼≡6≡3≡And I sent messengers to them, saying, 'I am doing a great work and I cannot come down. Why should the work stop while I leave it and come down to you?'
cuv≡尼≡6≡4≡他們這樣四次打發人來見我，我都如此回答他們。
rsv≡尼≡6≡4≡And they sent to me four times in this way and I answered them in the same manner.
cuv≡尼≡6≡5≡參巴拉第五次打發僕人來見我，手裡拿著未封的信，
rsv≡尼≡6≡5≡In the same way Sanbal'lat for the fifth time sent his servant to me with an open letter in his hand.
cuv≡尼≡6≡6≡信上寫著說：「外邦人中有風聲，迦施慕（就是基善，見二章十九節）也說，你和猶大人謀反，修造城牆，你要作他們的王；
rsv≡尼≡6≡6≡In it was written, 'It is reported among the nations, and Geshem also says it, that you and the Jews intend to rebel; that is why you are building the wall;and you wish to become their king, according to this report.
cuv≡尼≡6≡7≡你又派先知在耶路撒冷指著你宣講，說在猶大有王。現在這話必傳與王知；所以請你來，與我們彼此商議。」
rsv≡尼≡6≡7≡And you have also set up prophets to proclaim concerning you in Jerusalem, There is a king in Judah.' And now it will be reported to the king according to these words. So now come, and let us take counsel together.'
cuv≡尼≡6≡8≡我就差遣人去見他，說：「你所說的這事，一概沒有，是你心裡捏造的。」
rsv≡尼≡6≡8≡Then I sent to him, saying, 'No such things as you say have been done, for you are inventing them out of your own mind.'
cuv≡尼≡6≡9≡他們都要使我們懼怕，意思說，他們的手必軟弱，以致工作不能成就。神啊，求你堅固我的手。
rsv≡尼≡6≡9≡For they all wanted to frighten us, thinking, 'Their hands will drop from the work, and it will not be done.' But now, O God, strengthen thou my hands.
cuv≡尼≡6≡10≡我到了米希大別的孫子、第來雅的兒子示瑪雅家裡；那時，他閉門不出。他說：「我們不如在神的殿裡會面，將殿門關鎖；因為他們要來殺你，就是夜裡來殺你。」
rsv≡尼≡6≡10≡Now when I went into the house of
Shemai'ah the son of Delai'ah, son of Mehet'abel,
who was shut up, he said, 'Let us meet together in
the house of God, within the temple, and let us
close the doors of the temple; for they are coming
to kill you, at night they are coming to kill
you.'
cuv≡尼≡6≡11≡我說：「像我這樣的人豈要逃跑呢？像我這樣的人豈能進入殿裡保全生命呢？我不進去！」
rsv≡尼≡6≡11≡But I said, 'Should such a man as I flee? And what man such as I could go into the temple and live? I will not go in.'
cuv≡尼≡6≡12≡我看明神沒有差遣他，是他自己說這話攻擊我，是多比雅和參巴拉賄買了他。
rsv≡尼≡6≡12≡And I understood, and saw that God had not sent him, but he had pronounced the prophecy against me because Tobi'ah and Sanbal'lat had hired him.
cuv≡尼≡6≡13≡賄買他的緣故，是要叫我懼怕，依從他犯罪，他們好傳揚惡言毀謗我。
rsv≡尼≡6≡13≡For this purpose he was hired, that I should be afraid and act in this way and sin, and so they could give me an evil name, in order to taunt me.
cuv≡尼≡6≡14≡我的神啊，多比雅、參巴拉、女先知挪亞底，和其餘的先知要叫我懼怕，求你記念他們所行的這些事。
rsv≡尼≡6≡14≡Remember Tobi'ah and Sanbal'lat, O my God, according to these things that they did, and also the prophetess No-adi'ah and the rest of the prophets who wanted to make me afraid.
cuv≡尼≡6≡15≡以祿月二十五日，城牆修完了，共修了五十二天。
rsv≡尼≡6≡15≡So the wall was finished on the twenty-fifth day of the month Elul, in fifty-two days.
cuv≡尼≡6≡16≡我們一切仇敵、四圍的外邦人聽見了便懼怕，愁眉不展；因為見這工作完成是出乎我們的神。
rsv≡尼≡6≡16≡And when all our enemies heard of it, all the nations round about us were afraid and fell greatly in their own esteem; for they perceived that this work had been accomplished with the help of our God.
cuv≡尼≡6≡17≡在那些日子，猶大的貴冑屢次寄信與多比雅，多比雅也來信與他們。
rsv≡尼≡6≡17≡Moreover in those days the nobles of Judah sent many letters to Tobi'ah, and Tobi'ah's letters came to them.
cuv≡尼≡6≡18≡在猶大有許多人與多比雅結盟；因他是亞拉的兒子，示迦尼的女婿，並且他的兒子約哈難娶了比利迦兒子米書蘭的女兒為妻。
rsv≡尼≡6≡18≡For many in Judah were bound by oath to him, because he was the son-in-law of Shecani'ah the son of Arah: and his son Jehoha'nan had taken the daughter of Meshul'lam the son of Berechi'ah as his wife.
cuv≡尼≡6≡19≡他們常在我面前說多比雅的善行，也將我的話傳與他。多比雅又常寄信來，要叫我懼怕。
rsv≡尼≡6≡19≡Also they spoke of his good deeds in my presence, and reported my words to him. And Tobi'ah sent letters to make me afraid.
cuv≡尼≡7≡1≡城牆修完，我安了門扇，守門的、歌唱的，和利未人都已派定。
rsv≡尼≡7≡1≡Now when the wall had been built and I had set up the doors, and the gatekeepers, the singers, and the Levites had been appointed,
cuv≡尼≡7≡2≡我就派我的弟兄哈拿尼和營樓的宰官哈拿尼雅管理耶路撒冷；因為哈拿尼雅是忠信的，又敬畏神過於眾人。
rsv≡尼≡7≡2≡I gave my brother Hana'ni and Hanani'ah the governor of the castle charge over Jerusalem, for he was a more faithful and God-fearing man than many.
cuv≡尼≡7≡3≡我吩咐他們說：「等到太陽上升纔可開耶路撒冷的城門；人尚看守的時候就要關門上閂；也當派耶路撒冷的居民各按班次看守自己房屋對面之處。」
rsv≡尼≡7≡3≡And I said to them, 'Let not the
gates of Jerusalem be opened until the sun is hot;
and while they are still standing guard let them
shut and bar the doors. Appoint guards from among
the inhabitants of Jerusalem, each to his station
and each opposite his own house.'
cuv≡尼≡7≡4≡城是廣大，其中的民卻稀少，房屋還沒有建造。
rsv≡尼≡7≡4≡The city was wide and large, but the people within it were few and no houses had been built.
cuv≡尼≡7≡5≡我的神感動我心，招聚貴冑、官長，和百姓，要照家譜計算。我找著第一次上來之人的家譜，其上寫著：
rsv≡尼≡7≡5≡Then God put it into my mind to assemble the nobles and the officials and the people to be enrolled by genealogy. And I found the book of the genealogy of those who came up at the first, and I found written in it:

rsv≡尼≡7≡6≡These were the people of the province who came up out of the captivity of those exiles whom Nebuchadnez'zar the king of Babylon had carried into exile; they returned to Jerusalem and Judah, each to his town.

rsv≡尼≡7≡63≡Also, of the priests: the sons of Hobai'ah, the sons of Hakkoz, the sons of Barzil'lai (who had taken a wife of the daughters of Barzil'lai the Gileadite and was called by their name).

rsv≡尼≡7≡64≡These sought their registration among those enrolled in the genealogies, but it was not found there, so they were excluded from the priesthood as unclean;

rsv≡尼≡7≡65≡the governor told them that they were not to partake of the most holy food, until a priest with Urim and Thummim should arise.

rsv≡尼≡7≡70≡Now some of the heads of fathers' houses gave to the work. The governor gave to the treasury a thousand darics of gold, fifty basins, five hundred and thirty priests' garments.

rsv≡尼≡7≡71≡And some of the heads of fathers' houses gave into the treasury of the work twenty thousand darics of gold and two thousand two hundred minas of silver.

rsv≡尼≡7≡72≡And what the rest of the people gave was twenty thousand darics of gold, two thousand minas of silver, and sixty-seven priests' garments.

rsv≡尼≡7≡73≡So the priests, the Levites, the gatekeepers, the singers, some of the people, the temple servants, and all Israel, lived in their towns. And when the seventh month had come, the children of Israel were in their towns.

rsv≡尼≡8≡1≡And all the people gathered as one man into the square before the Water Gate; and they told Ezra the scribe to bring the book of the law of Moses which the LORD had given to Israel.

rsv≡尼≡8≡2≡And Ezra the priest brought the law before the assembly, both men and women and all who could hear with understanding, on the first day of the seventh month.

rsv≡尼≡8≡3≡And he read from it facing the square before the Water Gate from early morning until midday, in the presence of the men and the women and those who could understand; and the ears of all the people were attentive to the book of the law.

wooden pulpit which they had made for the purpose;
and beside him stood Mattithi'ah, Shema, Anai'ah,
Uri'ah, Hilki'ah, and Ma-asei'ah on his right
hand; and Pedai'ah, Mish'a-el, Malchi'jah, Hashum,
Hash-bad'danah, Zechari'ah, and Meshul'lam on his
left hand.

rsv≡尼≡8≡5≡And Ezra opened the book in the sight of all the people, for he was above all the people; and when he opened it all the people stood.

rsv≡尼≡8≡7≡Also Jesh'ua, Bani, Sherebi'ah, Jamin, Akkub, Shab'bethai, Hodi'ah, Ma-asei'ah, Keli'ta, Azari'ah, Jo'zabad, Hanan, Pelai'ah, the Levites, helped the people to understand the law, while the people remained in their places.
cuv≡尼≡8≡8≡他們清清楚楚的念神的律法書，講明意思，使百姓明白所念的。
rsv≡尼≡8≡8≡And they read from the book, from the law of God, clearly; and they gave the sense, so that the people understood the reading.
cuv≡尼≡8≡9≡省長尼希米和作祭司的文士以斯拉，並教訓百姓的利未人，對眾民說：「今日是耶和華你們神的聖日，不要悲哀哭泣。」這是因為眾民聽見律法書上的話都哭了；
rsv≡尼≡8≡9≡And Nehemi'ah, who was the
governor, and Ezra the priest and scribe, and the
Levites who taught the people said to all the
people, 'This day is holy to the LORD your God; do
not mourn or weep.' For all the people wept when
they heard the words of the law.
cuv≡尼≡8≡10≡又對他們說：「你們去喫肥美的，喝甘甜的，有不能預備的就分給他，因為今日是我們主的聖日。你們不要憂愁，因靠耶和華而得的喜樂是你們的力量。」
rsv≡尼≡8≡10≡Then he said to them, 'Go your way, eat the fat and drink sweet wine and send portions to him for whom nothing is prepared; for this day is holy to our Lord;and do not be grieved, for the joy of the LORD is your strength.'
cuv≡尼≡8≡11≡於是利未人使眾民靜默，說：「今日是聖日；不要作聲，也不要憂愁。」
rsv≡尼≡8≡11≡So the Levites stilled all the people, saying, 'Be quiet, for this day is holy; do not be grieved.'
cuv≡尼≡8≡12≡眾民都去喫喝，也分給人，大大快樂，因為他們明白所教訓他們的話。
rsv≡尼≡8≡12≡And all the people went their way to eat and drink and to send portions and to make great rejoicing, because they had understood the words that were declared to them.

rsv≡尼≡8≡13≡On the second day the heads of fathers' houses of all the people, with the priests and the Levites, came together to Ezra the scribe in order to study the words of the law.

rsv≡尼≡8≡14≡And they found it written in the law that the LORD had commanded by Moses that the people of Israel should dwell in booths during the feast of the seventh month,

rsv≡尼≡8≡15≡and that they should publish and proclaim in all their towns and in Jerusalem, 'Go out to the hills and bring branches of olive, wild olive, myrtle, palm, and other leafy trees to make booths, as it is written.'
cuv≡尼≡8≡16≡於是百姓出去，取了樹枝來，各人在自己的房頂上，或院內，或神殿的院內，或水門的寬闊處，或以法蓮門的寬闊處搭棚。
rsv≡尼≡8≡16≡So the people went out and brought them and made booths for themselves, each on his roof, and in their courts and in the courts of the house of God, and in the square at the Water Gate and in the square at the Gate of E'phraim.
cuv≡尼≡8≡17≡從擄到之地歸回的全會眾就搭棚，住在棚裡。從嫩的兒子約書亞的時候直到這日，以色列人沒有這樣行。於是眾人大大喜樂。
rsv≡尼≡8≡17≡And all the assembly of those who had returned from the captivity made booths and dwelt in the booths; for from the days of Jeshua the son of Nun to that day the people of Israel had not done so. And there was very great rejoicing.
cuv≡尼≡8≡18≡從頭一天直到末一天，以斯拉每日念神的律法書。眾人守節七日，第八日照例有嚴肅會。
rsv≡尼≡8≡18≡And day by day, from the first day to the last day, he read from the book of the law of God. They kept the feast seven days; and on the eighth day there was a solemn assembly, according to the ordinance.
cuv≡尼≡9≡1≡這月二十四日，以色列人聚集禁食，身穿麻衣，頭蒙灰塵。
rsv≡尼≡9≡1≡Now on the twenty-fourth day of this month the people of Israel were assembled with fasting and in sackcloth, and with earth upon their heads.
cuv≡尼≡9≡2≡以色列人（人：原文是種類）就與一切外邦人離絕，站著承認自己的罪惡和列祖的罪孽。
rsv≡尼≡9≡2≡And the Israelites separated themselves from all foreigners, and stood and confessed their sins and the iniquities of their fathers.
cuv≡尼≡9≡3≡那日的四分之一站在自己的地方念耶和華他們神的律法書，又四分之一認罪，敬拜耶和華他們的神。
rsv≡尼≡9≡3≡And they stood up in their place and read from the book of the law of the LORD their God for a fourth of the day; for another fourth of it they made confession and worshiped the LORD their God.

rsv≡尼≡9≡4≡Upon the stairs of the Levites stood Jeshua, Bani, Kad'mi-el, Shebani'ah, Bunni, Sherebi'ah, Bani, and Chena'ni; and they cried with a loud voice to the LORD their God.
cuv≡尼≡9≡5≡利未人耶書亞、甲篾、巴尼、哈沙尼、示利比、荷第雅、示巴尼、毗他希雅說：「你們要站起來稱頌耶和華你們的神，永世無盡。耶和華啊，你榮耀之名是應當稱頌的！超乎一切稱頌和讚美。」

Kad'mi-el, Bani, Hashabnei'ah, Sherebi'ah,
Hodi'ah, Shebani'ah, and Pethahi'ah, said, 'Stand
up and bless the LORD your God from everlasting to
everlasting. Blessed be thy glorious name which is
exalted above all blessing and praise.'

rsv≡尼≡9≡6≡And Ezra said: 'Thou art the LORD,
thou alone; thou hast made heaven, the heaven of
heavens, with all their host, the earth and all
that is on it, the seas and all that is in them ;
and thou preservest all of them; and the host of
heaven worships thee.
cuv≡尼≡9≡7≡你是耶和華神，曾揀選亞伯蘭，領他出迦勒底的吾珥，給他改名叫亞伯拉罕。
rsv≡尼≡9≡7≡Thou art the LORD, the God who didst choose Abram and bring him forth out of Ur of the Chalde'ans and give him the name Abraham;
cuv≡尼≡9≡8≡你見他在你面前心裡誠實，就與他立約，應許把迦南人、赫人、亞摩利人、比利洗人、耶布斯人、革迦撒人之地賜給他的後裔，且應驗了你的話，因為你是公義的。
rsv≡尼≡9≡8≡and thou didst find his heart
faithful before thee, and didst make with him the
covenant to give to his descendants the land of
the Canaanite, the Hittite, the Amorite, the
Per'izzite, the Jeb'usite, and the Gir'gashite;
and thou hast fulfilled thy promise, for thou art
righteous.
cuv≡尼≡9≡9≡「你曾看見我們列祖在埃及所受的困苦，垂聽他們在紅海邊的哀求，
rsv≡尼≡9≡9≡'And thou didst see the affliction of our fathers in Egypt and hear their cry at the Red Sea,
cuv≡尼≡9≡10≡就施行神蹟奇事在法老和他一切臣僕，並他國中的眾民身上。你也得了名聲，正如今日一樣，因為你知道他們向我們列祖行事狂傲。
rsv≡尼≡9≡10≡and didst perform signs and wonders against Pharaoh and all his servants and all the people of his land, for thou knewest that they acted insolently against our fathers; and thou didst get thee a name, as it is to this day.
cuv≡尼≡9≡11≡你又在我們列祖面前把海分開，使他們在海中行走乾地，將追趕他們的人拋在深海，如石頭拋在大水中；
rsv≡尼≡9≡11≡And thou didst divide the sea before them, so that they went through the midst of the sea on dry land; and thou didst cast their pursuers into the depths, as a stone into mighty waters.
cuv≡尼≡9≡12≡並且白晝用雲柱引導他們，黑夜用火柱照亮他們當行的路。
rsv≡尼≡9≡12≡By a pillar of cloud thou didst lead them in the day, and by a pillar of fire in the night to light for them the way in which they should go.

rsv≡尼≡9≡13≡Thou didst come down upon Mount Sinai, and speak with them from heaven and give them right ordinances and true laws, good statutes and commandments,
cuv≡尼≡9≡14≡又使他們知道你的安息聖日，並藉你僕人摩西傳給他們誡命、條例、律法。
rsv≡尼≡9≡14≡and thou didst make known to them thy holy sabbath and command them commandments and statutes and a law by Moses thy servant.
cuv≡尼≡9≡15≡從天上賜下糧食充他們的飢，從磐石使水流出解他們的渴，又吩咐他們進去得你起誓應許賜給他們的地。
rsv≡尼≡9≡15≡Thou didst give them bread from heaven for their hunger and bring forth water for them from the rock for their thirst, and thou didst tell them to go in to possess the land which thou hadst sworn to give them.
cuv≡尼≡9≡16≡「但我們的列祖行事狂傲，硬著頸項不聽從你的誡命；
rsv≡尼≡9≡16≡'But they and our fathers acted presumptuously and stiffened their neck and did not obey thy commandments;
cuv≡尼≡9≡17≡不肯順從，也不記念你在他們中間所行的奇事，竟硬著頸項，居心背逆，自立首領，要回他們為奴之地。但你是樂意饒恕人，有恩典，有憐憫，不輕易發怒，有豐盛慈愛的神，並不丟棄他們。
rsv≡尼≡9≡17≡they refused to obey, and were not
mindful of the wonders which thou didst perform
among them; but they stiffened their neck and
appointed a leader to return to their bondage in
Egypt. But thou art a God ready to forgive,
gracious and merciful, slow to anger and abounding
in steadfast love, and didst not forsake them.
cuv≡尼≡9≡18≡他們雖然鑄了一隻牛犢，彼此說『這是領你出埃及的神』，因而大大惹動你的怒氣；
rsv≡尼≡9≡18≡Even when they had made for themselves a molten calf and said, This is your God who brought you up out of Egypt,' and had committed great blasphemies,
cuv≡尼≡9≡19≡你還是大施憐憫，在曠野不丟棄他們。白晝，雲柱不離開他們，仍引導他們行路；黑夜，火柱也不離開他們，仍照亮他們當行的路。
rsv≡尼≡9≡19≡thou in thy great mercies didst not forsake them in the wilderness; the pillar of cloud which led them in the way did not depart from them by day, nor the pillar of fire by night which lighted for them the way by which they should go.
cuv≡尼≡9≡20≡你也賜下你良善的靈教訓他們；未嘗不賜嗎哪使他們糊口，並賜水解他們的渴。
rsv≡尼≡9≡20≡Thou gavest thy good Spirit to instruct them, and didst not withhold thy manna from their mouth, and gavest them water for their thirst.
cuv≡尼≡9≡21≡在曠野四十年，你養育他們，他們就一無所缺：衣服沒有穿破，腳也沒有腫。
rsv≡尼≡9≡21≡Forty years didst thou sustain them in the wilderness, and they lacked nothing; their clothes did not wear out and their feet did not swell.

rsv≡尼≡9≡22≡And thou didst give them kingdoms and peoples, and didst allot to them every corner; so they took possession of the land of Sihon king of Heshbon and the land of Og king of Bashan.

rsv≡尼≡9≡23≡Thou didst multiply their descendants as the stars of heaven, and thou didst bring them into the land which thou hadst told their fathers to enter and possess.

rsv≡尼≡9≡24≡So the descendants went in and
possessed the land, and thou didst subdue before
them the inhabitants of the land, the Canaanites,
and didst give them into their hands, with their
kings and the peoples of the land, that they might
do with them as they would.
cuv≡尼≡9≡25≡他們得了堅固的城邑、肥美的地土、充滿各樣美物的房屋、鑿成的水井、葡萄園、橄欖園，並許多果木樹。他們就喫而得飽，身體肥胖，因你的大恩，心中快樂。
rsv≡尼≡9≡25≡And they captured fortified cities
and a rich land, and took possession of houses
full of all good things, cisterns hewn out,
vineyards, olive orchards and fruit trees in
abundance; so they ate, and were filled and became
fat, and delighted themselves in thy great
goodness.
cuv≡尼≡9≡26≡「然而，他們不順從，竟背叛你，將你的律法丟在背後，殺害那勸他們歸向你的眾先知，大大惹動你的怒氣。
rsv≡尼≡9≡26≡'Nevertheless they were disobedient and rebelled against thee and cast thy law behind their back and killed thy prophets, who had warned them in order to turn them back to thee, and they committed great blasphemies.
cuv≡尼≡9≡27≡所以你將他們交在敵人的手中，磨難他們。他們遭難的時候哀求你，你就從天上垂聽，照你的大憐憫賜給他們拯救者，救他們脫離敵人的手。

stubborn shoulder and stiffened their neck and

rsv≡尼≡9≡36≡Behold, we are slaves this day; in the land that thou gavest to our fathers to enjoy its fruit and its good gifts, behold, we are slaves.

nobles, and enter into a curse and an oath to walk
in God's law which was given by Moses the servant
of God, and to observe and do all the commandments
of the LORD our Lord and his ordinances and his
statutes.

rsv≡尼≡10≡30≡We will not give our daughters to the peoples of the land or take their daughters for our sons;
cuv≡尼≡10≡31≡這地的居民若在安息日，或甚麼聖日，帶了貨物或糧食來賣給我們，我們必不買。每逢第七年必不耕種，凡欠我們債的必不追討。
rsv≡尼≡10≡31≡and if the peoples of the land bring in wares or any grain on the sabbath day to sell, we will not buy from them on the sabbath or on a holy day; and we will forego the crops of the seventh year and the exaction of every debt.
cuv≡尼≡10≡32≡我們又為自己定例，每年各人捐銀一舍客勒三分之一，為我們神殿的使用，
rsv≡尼≡10≡32≡We also lay upon ourselves the obligation to charge ourselves yearly with the third part of a shekel for the service of the house of our God:
cuv≡尼≡10≡33≡就是為陳設餅、常獻的素祭，和燔祭，安息日、月朔、節期所獻的與聖物，並以色列人的贖罪祭，以及我們神殿裡一切的費用。
rsv≡尼≡10≡33≡for the showbread, the continual
cereal offering, the continual burnt offering, the
sabbaths, the new moons, the appointed feasts, the
holy things, and the sin offerings to make
atonement for Israel, and for all the work of the
house of our God.
cuv≡尼≡10≡34≡我們的祭司、利未人，和百姓都掣籤，看每年是哪一族按定期將獻祭的柴奉到我們神的殿裡，照著律法上所寫的，燒在耶和華我們神的壇上。
rsv≡尼≡10≡34≡We have likewise cast lots, the
priests, the Levites, and the people, for the wood
offering, to bring it into the house of our God,
according to our fathers' houses, at times
appointed, year by year, to burn upon the altar of
the LORD our God, as it is written in the law.
cuv≡尼≡10≡35≡又定每年將我們地上初熟的土產和各樣樹上初熟的果子都奉到耶和華的殿裡。
rsv≡尼≡10≡35≡We obligate ourselves to bring the first fruits of our ground and the first fruits of all fruit of every tree, year by year, to the house of the LORD;
cuv≡尼≡10≡36≡又照律法上所寫的，將我們頭胎的兒子和首生的牛羊都奉到我們神的殿，交給我們神殿裡供職的祭司；
rsv≡尼≡10≡36≡also to bring to the house of our God, to the priests who minister in the house of our God, the first-born of our sons and of our cattle, as it is written in the law, and the firstlings of our herds and of our flocks;
cuv≡尼≡10≡37≡並將初熟之麥子所磨的麵和舉祭、各樣樹上初熟的果子、新酒與油奉給祭司，收在我們神殿的庫房裡，把我們地上所產的十分之一奉給利未人，因利未人在我們一切城邑的土產中當取十分之一。
rsv≡尼≡10≡37≡and to bring the first of our
coarse meal, and our contributions, the fruit of
every tree, the wine and the oil, to the priests,
to the chambers of the house of our God; and to
bring to the Levites the tithes from our ground,
for it is the Levites who collect the tithes in
all our rural towns.
cuv≡尼≡10≡38≡利未人取十分之一的時候，亞倫的子孫中，當有一個祭司與利未人同在。利未人也當從十分之一中取十分之一，奉到我們神殿的屋子裡，收在庫房中。
rsv≡尼≡10≡38≡And the priest, the son of Aaron, shall be with the Levites when the Levites receive the tithes; and the Levites shall bring up the tithe of the tithes to the house of our God, to the chambers, to the storehouse.
cuv≡尼≡10≡39≡以色列人和利未人要將五榖、新酒，和油為舉祭，奉到收存聖所器皿的屋子裡，就是供職的祭司、守門的、歌唱的所住的屋子。這樣，我們就不離棄我們神的殿。
rsv≡尼≡10≡39≡For the people of Israel and the
sons of Levi shall bring the contribution of
grain, wine, and oil to the chambers, where are
the vessels of the sanctuary, and the priests that
minister, and the gatekeepers and the singers. We
will not neglect the house of our God.
cuv≡尼≡11≡1≡百姓的首領住在耶路撒冷。其餘的百姓掣籤，每十人中使一人來住在聖城耶路撒冷，那九人住在別的城邑。
rsv≡尼≡11≡1≡Now the leaders of the people lived in Jerusalem; and the rest of the people cast lots to bring one out of ten to live in Jerusalem the holy city, while nine tenths remained in the other towns.
cuv≡尼≡11≡2≡凡甘心樂意住在耶路撒冷的，百姓都為他們祝福。
rsv≡尼≡11≡2≡And the people blessed all the men who willingly offered to live in Jerusalem.

rsv≡尼≡12≡39≡and above the Gate of E'phraim, and by the Old Gate, and by the Fish Gate and the Tower of Hanan'el and the Tower of the Hundred, to the Sheep Gate; and they came to a halt at the Gate of the Guard.

rsv≡尼≡12≡43≡And they offered great sacrifices that day and rejoiced, for God had made them rejoice with great joy; the women and children also rejoiced. And the joy of Jerusalem was heard afar off.

rsv≡尼≡12≡44≡On that day men were appointed over the chambers for the stores, the contributions, the first fruits, and the tithes, to gather into them the portions required by the law for the priests and for the Levites according to the fields of the

rsv≡尼≡12≡45≡And they performed the service of their God and the service of purification, as did the singers and the gatekeepers, according to the command of David and his son Solomon.

the Levites;and the Levites set apart that which
was for the sons of
cuv≡尼≡13≡1≡當日，人念摩西的律法書給百姓聽，遇見書上寫著說，亞捫人和摩押人永不可入神的會；
rsv≡尼≡13≡1≡On that day they read from the book of Moses in the hearing of the people; and in it was found written that no Ammonite or Moabite should ever enter the assembly of God;

chamber where they had previously put the cereal
offering, the frankincense, the vessels, and the
tithes of grain, wine, and oil, which were given
by commandment to the Levites, singers, and
gatekeepers, and the contributions for the
priests.

rsv≡尼≡13≡6≡While this was taking place I was not in Jerusalem, for in the thirty-second year of Ar-ta-xerx'es king of Babylon I went to the king. And after some time I asked leave of the king

rsv≡尼≡13≡8≡And I was very angry, and I threw all the household furniture of Tobi'ah out of the chamber.

rsv≡尼≡13≡9≡Then I gave orders and they cleansed the chambers; and I brought back thither the vessels of the house of God, with the cereal offering and the frankincense.

rsv≡尼≡13≡10≡I also found out that the portions of the Levites had not been given to them; so that the Levites and the singers, who did the work, had fled each to his field.

rsv≡尼≡13≡11≡So I remonstrated with the officials and said, 'Why is the house of God forsaken?' And I gathered them together and set them in their stations.

rsv≡尼≡13≡12≡Then all Judah brought the tithe of the grain, wine, and oil into the storehouses.

rsv≡尼≡13≡14≡Remember me, O my God, concerning this, and wipe not out my good deeds that I have done for the house of my God and for his service.

treading wine presses on the sabbath, and bringing
in heaps of grain and loading them on asses; and
also wine, grapes, figs, and all kinds of burdens,
which they brought into Jerusalem on the sabbath
day; and I warned them on the day when they sold
food.

rsv≡尼≡13≡16≡Men of Tyre also, who lived in the city, brought in fish and all kinds of wares and sold them on the sabbath to the people of Judah, and in Jerusalem.

rsv≡尼≡13≡17≡Then I remonstrated with the nobles of Judah and said to them, 'What is this evil thing which you are doing, profaning the sabbath day?
cuv≡尼≡13≡18≡從前你們列祖豈不是這樣行，以致我們神使一切災禍臨到我們和這城麼？現在你們還犯安息日，使忿怒越發臨到以色列！」
rsv≡尼≡13≡18≡Did not your fathers act in this way, and did not our God bring all this evil on us and on this city? Yet you bring more wrath upon Israel by profaning the sabbath.'
cuv≡尼≡13≡19≡在安息日的前一日，耶路撒冷城門有黑影的時候，我就吩咐人將門關鎖，不過安息日不准開放。我又派我幾個僕人管理城門，免得有人在安息日擔甚麼擔子進城。
rsv≡尼≡13≡19≡When it began to be dark at the
gates of Jerusalem before the sabbath, I commanded
that the doors should be shut and gave orders that
they should not be opened until after the sabbath.
And I set some of my servants over the gates, that
no burden might be brought in on the sabbath day.
cuv≡尼≡13≡20≡於是商人和販賣各樣貨物的，一兩次住宿在耶路撒冷城外。
rsv≡尼≡13≡20≡Then the merchants and sellers of all kinds of wares lodged outside Jerusalem once or twice.
cuv≡尼≡13≡21≡我就警戒他們說：「你們為何在城外住宿呢？若再這樣，我必下手拿辦你們。」從此以後，他們在安息日不再來了。
rsv≡尼≡13≡21≡But I warned them and said to them, 'Why do you lodge before the wall? If you do so again I will lay hands on you.' From that time on they did not come on the sabbath.
cuv≡尼≡13≡22≡我吩咐利未人潔淨自己，來守城門，使安息日為聖。我的神啊，求你因這事記念我，照你的大慈愛憐恤我。
rsv≡尼≡13≡22≡And I commanded the Levites that they should purify themselves and come and guard the gates, to keep the sabbath day holy. Remember this also in my favor, O my God, and spare me according to the greatness of thy steadfast love.

rsv≡尼≡13≡23≡In those days also I saw the Jews who had married women of Ashdod, Ammon, and Moab;

rsv≡尼≡13≡24≡and half of their children spoke the language of Ashdod, and they could not speak the language of Judah, but the language of each people.
cuv≡尼≡13≡25≡我就斥責他們，咒詛他們，打了他們幾個人，拔下他們的頭髮，叫他們指著神起誓，必不將自己的女兒嫁給外邦人的兒子，也不為自己和兒子娶他們的女兒。

cursed them and beat some of them and pulled out
their hair; and I made them take oath in the name
of God, saying, 'You shall not give your daughters
to their sons, or take their daughters for your
sons or for yourselves.

rsv≡尼≡13≡27≡Shall we then listen to you and do all this great evil and act treacherously against our God by marrying foreign women?'
