箴言(Proverbs) cuv≡箴≡1≡1≡以色列王大衛兒子所羅門的箴言: rsv≡箴≡1≡1≡The proverbs of Solomon, son of David, king of Israel: cuv≡箴≡1≡2≡要使人曉得智慧和訓誨,分辨通達的言語, rsv≡箴≡1≡2≡That men may know wisdom and instruction, understand words of insight, cuv≡箴≡1≡3≡使人處事領受智慧、仁義、公平、正直的訓誨, rsv≡箴≡1≡3≡receive instruction in wise dealing, righteousness, justice, and equity; cuv≡箴≡1≡4≡使愚人靈明,使少年人有知識和謀略, rsv≡箴≡1≡4≡that prudence may be given to the simple, knowledge and discretion to the youth -- cuv≡箴≡1≡5≡使智慧人聽見,增長學問,使聰明人得著智謀, rsv≡箴≡1≡5≡the wise man also may hear and increase in learning, and the man of understanding acquire skill, cuv≡箴≡1≡6≡使人明白箴言和譬喻,懂得智慧人的言詞和謎語。 rsv≡箴≡1≡6≡to understand a proverb and a figure, the words of the wise and their riddles. cuv≡箴≡1≡7≡敬畏耶和華是知識的開端;愚妄人藐視智慧和訓誨。 rsv≡箴≡1≡7≡The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge; fools despise wisdom and instruction. cuv≡箴≡1≡8≡我兒,要聽你父親的訓誨,不可離棄你母親的法則(或作:指教); rsv≡箴≡1≡8≡Hear, my son, your father's instruction, and reject not your mother's teaching; cuv≡箴≡1≡9≡因為這要作你頭上的華冠,你項上的金鍊。 rsv≡箴≡1≡9≡for they are a fair garland for your head, and pendants for your neck. cuv≡箴≡1≡10≡我兒,惡人若引誘你,你不可隨從。 rsv≡箴≡1≡10≡My son, if sinners entice you, do not consent. cuv≡箴≡1≡11≡他們若說:你與我們同去,我們要埋伏流人之血,要蹲伏害無罪之人; rsv≡箴≡1≡11≡If they say, 'Come with us, let us lie in wait for blood, let us wantonly ambush the innocent; cuv≡箴≡1≡12≡我們好像陰間,把他們活活吞下;他們如同下坑的人,被我們囫圇吞了; rsv≡箴≡1≡12≡like Sheol let us swallow them alive and whole, like those who go down to the Pit; cuv≡箴≡1≡13≡我們必得各樣寶物,將所擄來的,裝滿房屋; rsv≡箴≡1≡13≡we shall find all precious goods, we shall fill our houses with spoil; cuv≡箴≡1≡14≡你與我們大家同分,我們共用一個囊袋; rsv≡箴≡1≡14≡throw in your lot among us, we will all have one purse' -- cuv≡箴≡1≡15≡我兒,不要與他們同行一道,禁止你腳走他們的路。 rsv≡箴≡1≡15≡my son, do not walk in the way with them, hold back your foot from their paths; cuv≡箴≡1≡16≡因為,他們的腳奔跑行惡;他們急速流人的血, rsv≡箴≡1≡16≡for their feet run to evil, and they make haste to shed blood. cuv≡箴≡1≡17≡好像飛鳥,網羅設在眼前仍不躲避。 rsv≡箴≡1≡17≡For in vain is a net spread in the sight of any bird; cuv≡箴≡1≡18≡這些人埋伏,是為自流己血;蹲伏,是為自害己命。 rsv≡箴≡1≡18≡but these men lie in wait for their own blood, they set an ambush for their own lives. cuv≡箴≡1≡19≡凡貪戀財利的,所行之路都是如此;這貪戀之心乃奪去得財者之命。 rsv≡箴≡1≡19≡Such are the ways of all who get gain by violence; it takes away the life of its possessors. cuv≡箴≡1≡20≡智慧在街市上呼喊,在寬闊處發聲, rsv≡箴≡1≡20≡Wisdom cries aloud in the street; in the markets she raises her voice; cuv≡箴≡1≡21≡在熱鬧街頭喊叫,在城門口,在城中發出言語, rsv≡箴≡1≡21≡on the top of the walls she cries out; at the entrance of the city gates she speaks: cuv≡箴≡1≡22≡說:你們愚昧人喜愛愚昧,褻慢人喜歡褻慢,愚頑人恨惡知識,要到幾時呢? rsv≡箴≡1≡22≡'How long, O simple ones, will you love being simple? How long will scoffers delight in their scoffing and fools hate knowledge? cuv≡箴≡1≡23≡你們當因我的責備回轉;我要將我的靈澆灌你們,將我的話指示你們。 rsv≡箴≡1≡23≡Give heed to my reproof; behold, I will pour out my thoughts to you;I will make my words known to you. cuv≡箴≡1≡24≡我呼喚,你們不肯聽從;我伸手,無人理會; rsv≡箴≡1≡24≡Because I have called and you refused to listen, have stretched out my hand and no one has heeded, cuv≡箴≡1≡25≡反輕棄我一切的勸戒,不肯受我的責備。 rsv≡箴≡1≡25≡and you have ignored all my counsel and would have none of my reproof, cuv≡箴≡1≡26≡你們遭災難,我就發笑;驚恐臨到你們,我必嗤笑。 rsv≡箴≡1≡26≡I also will laugh at your calamity; I will mock when panic strikes you, cuv≡箴≡1≡27≡驚恐臨到你們,好像狂風;災難來到,如同暴風;急難痛苦臨到你們身上。 rsv≡箴≡1≡27≡when panic strikes you like a storm, and your calamity comes like a whirlwind, when distress and anguish come upon you. cuv≡箴≡1≡28≡那時,你們必呼求我,我卻不答應,懇切地尋找我,卻尋不見。 rsv≡箴≡1≡28≡Then they will call upon me, but I will not answer; they will seek me diligently but will not find me. cuv≡箴≡1≡29≡因為,你們恨惡知識,不喜愛敬畏耶和華, rsv≡箴≡1≡29≡Because they hated knowledge and did not choose the fear of the LORD, cuv≡箴≡1≡30≡不聽我的勸戒,藐視我一切的責備, rsv≡箴≡1≡30≡would have none of my counsel, and despised all my reproof, cuv≡箴≡1≡31≡所以必喫自結的果子,充滿自設的計謀。 rsv≡箴≡1≡31≡therefore they shall eat the fruit of their way and be sated with their own devices. cuv≡箴≡1≡32≡愚昧人背道,必殺己身;愚頑人安逸,必害己命。 rsv≡箴≡1≡32≡For the simple are killed by their turning away, and the complacence of fools destroys them; cuv≡箴≡1≡33≡惟有聽從我的,必安然居住,得享安靜,不怕災禍。 rsv≡箴≡1≡33≡but he who listens to me will dwell secure and will be at ease, without dread of evil.' cuv≡箴≡2≡1≡我兒,你若領受我的言語,存記我的命令, rsv≡箴≡2≡1≡My son, if you receive my words and treasure up my commandments with you, cuv≡箴≡2≡2≡側耳聽智慧,專心求聰明, rsv≡箴≡2≡2≡making your ear attentive to wisdom and inclining your heart to understanding; cuv≡箴≡2≡3≡呼求明哲,揚聲求聰明, rsv≡箴≡2≡3≡yes, if you cry out for insight and raise your voice for understanding, cuv≡箴≡2≡4≡尋找他,如尋找銀子,搜求他,如搜求隱藏的珍寶, rsv≡箴≡2≡4≡if you seek it like silver and search for it as for hidden treasures; cuv≡箴≡2≡5≡你就明白敬畏耶和華,得以認識神。 rsv≡箴≡2≡5≡then you will understand the fear of the LORD and find the knowledge of God. cuv≡箴≡2≡6≡因為,耶和華賜人智慧;知識和聰明都由他口而出。 rsv≡箴≡2≡6≡For the LORD gives wisdom; from his mouth come knowledge and understanding; cuv≡箴≡2≡7≡他給正直人存留真智慧,給行為純正的人作盾牌, rsv≡箴≡2≡7≡he stores up sound wisdom for the upright; he is a shield to those who walk in integrity, cuv≡箴≡2≡8≡為要保守公平人的路,護庇虔敬人的道。 rsv≡箴≡2≡8≡guarding the paths of justice and preserving the way of his saints. cuv≡箴≡2≡9≡你也必明白仁義、公平、正直、一切的善道。 rsv≡箴≡2≡9≡Then you will understand righteousness and justice and equity, every good path; cuv≡箴≡2≡10≡智慧必入你心;你的靈要以知識為美。 rsv≡箴≡2≡10≡for wisdom will come into your heart, and knowledge will be pleasant to your soul; cuv≡箴≡2≡11≡謀略必護衛你;聰明必保守你, rsv≡箴≡2≡11≡discretion will watch over you; understanding will guard you; cuv≡箴≡2≡12≡要救你脫離惡道(或作:惡人的道),脫離說乖謬話的人。 rsv≡箴≡2≡12≡delivering you from the way of evil, from men of perverted speech, cuv≡箴≡2≡13≡那等人捨棄正直的路,行走黑暗的道, rsv≡箴≡2≡13≡who forsake the paths of uprightness to walk in the ways of darkness, cuv≡箴≡2≡14≡歡喜作惡,喜愛惡人的乖僻, rsv≡箴≡2≡14≡who rejoice in doing evil and delight in the perverseness of evil; cuv≡箴≡2≡15≡在他們的道中彎曲,在他們的路上偏僻。 rsv≡箴≡2≡15≡men whose paths are crooked, and who are devious in their ways. cuv≡箴≡2≡16≡智慧要救你脫離淫婦,就是那油嘴滑舌的外女。 rsv≡箴≡2≡16≡You will be saved from the loose woman, from the adventuress with her smooth words, cuv≡箴≡2≡17≡他離棄幼年的配偶,忘了神的盟約。 rsv≡箴≡2≡17≡who forsakes the companion of her youth and forgets the covenant of her God; cuv≡箴≡2≡18≡他的家陷入死地;他的路偏向陰間。 rsv≡箴≡2≡18≡for her house sinks down to death, and her paths to the shades; cuv≡箴≡2≡19≡凡到他那裡去的,不得轉回,也得不著生命的路。 rsv≡箴≡2≡19≡none who go to her come back nor do they regain the paths of life. cuv≡箴≡2≡20≡智慧必使你行善人的道,守義人的路。 rsv≡箴≡2≡20≡So you will walk in the way of good men and keep to the paths of the righteous. cuv≡箴≡2≡21≡正直人必在世上居住;完全人必在地上存留。 rsv≡箴≡2≡21≡For the upright will inhabit the land, and men of integrity will remain in it; cuv≡箴≡2≡22≡惟有惡人必然剪除;奸詐的,必然拔出。 rsv≡箴≡2≡22≡but the wicked will be cut off from the land, and the treacherous will be rooted out of it. cuv≡箴≡3≡1≡我兒,不要忘記我的法則(或作:指教);你心要謹守我的誡命; rsv≡箴≡3≡1≡My son, do not forget my teaching, but let your heart keep my commandments; cuv≡箴≡3≡2≡因為他必將長久的日子,生命的年數與平安,加給你。 rsv≡箴≡3≡2≡for length of days and years of life and abundant welfare will they give you. cuv≡箴≡3≡3≡不可使慈愛、誠實離開你,要繫在你頸項上,刻在你心版上。 rsv≡箴≡3≡3≡Let not loyalty and faithfulness forsake you; bind them about your neck, write them on the tablet of your heart. cuv≡箴≡3≡4≡這樣,你必在神和世人眼前蒙恩寵,有聰明。 rsv≡箴≡3≡4≡So you will find favor and good repute in the sight of God and man. cuv≡箴≡3≡5≡你要專心仰賴耶和華,不可倚靠自己的聰明, rsv≡箴≡3≡5≡Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and do not rely on your own insight. cuv≡箴≡3≡6≡在你一切所行的事上都要認定他,他必指引你的路。 rsv≡箴≡3≡6≡In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths. cuv≡箴≡3≡7≡不要自以為有智慧;要敬畏耶和華,遠離惡事。 rsv≡箴≡3≡7≡Be not wise in your own eyes; fear the LORD, and turn away from evil. cuv≡箴≡3≡8≡這便醫治你的肚臍,滋潤你的百骨。 rsv≡箴≡3≡8≡It will be healing to your flesh and refreshment to your bones. cuv≡箴≡3≡9≡你要以財物和一切初熟的土產尊榮耶和華。 rsv≡箴≡3≡9≡Honor the LORD with your substance and with the first fruits of all your produce; cuv≡箴≡3≡10≡這樣,你的倉房必充滿有餘;你的酒醡有新酒盈溢。 rsv≡箴≡3≡10≡then your barns will be filled with plenty, and your vats will be bursting with wine. cuv≡箴≡3≡11≡我兒,你不可輕看耶和華的管教(或作:懲治),也不可厭煩他的責備; rsv≡箴≡3≡11≡My son, do not despise the LORD's discipline or be weary of his reproof, cuv≡箴≡3≡12≡因為耶和華所愛的,他必責備,正如父親責備所喜愛的兒子。 rsv≡箴≡3≡12≡for the LORD reproves him whom he loves, as a father the son in whom he delights. cuv≡箴≡3≡13≡得智慧,得聰明的,這人便為有福。 rsv≡箴≡3≡13≡Happy is the man who finds wisdom, and the man who gets understanding, cuv≡箴≡3≡14≡因為得智慧勝過得銀子,其利益強如精金, rsv≡箴≡3≡14≡for the gain from it is better than gain from silver and its profit better than gold. cuv≡箴≡3≡15≡比珍珠(或作:紅寶石)寶貴;你一切所喜愛的,都不足與比較。 rsv≡箴≡3≡15≡She is more precious than jewels, and nothing you desire can compare with her. cuv≡箴≡3≡16≡他右手有長壽,左手有富貴。 rsv≡箴≡3≡16≡Long life is in her right hand; in her left hand are riches and honor. cuv≡箴≡3≡17≡他的道是安樂;他的路全是平安。 rsv≡箴≡3≡17≡Her ways are ways of pleasantness, and all her paths are peace. cuv≡箴≡3≡18≡他與持守他的作生命樹;持定他的,俱各有福。 rsv≡箴≡3≡18≡She is a tree of life to those who lay hold of her; those who hold her fast are called happy. cuv≡箴≡3≡19≡耶和華以智慧立地,以聰明定天, rsv≡箴≡3≡19≡The LORD by wisdom founded the earth; by understanding he established the heavens; cuv≡箴≡3≡20≡以知識使深淵裂開,使天空滴下甘露。 rsv≡箴≡3≡20≡by his knowledge the deeps broke forth, and the clouds drop down the dew. cuv≡箴≡3≡21≡我兒,要謹守真智慧和謀略,不可使他離開你的眼目。 rsv≡箴≡3≡21≡My son, keep sound wisdom and discretion; let them not escape from your sight, cuv≡箴≡3≡22≡這樣,他必作你的生命,頸項的美飾。 rsv≡箴≡3≡22≡and they will be life for your soul and adornment for your neck. cuv≡箴≡3≡23≡你就坦然行路,不致碰腳。 rsv≡箴≡3≡23≡Then you will walk on your way securely and your foot will not stumble. cuv≡箴≡3≡24≡你躺下,必不懼怕;你躺臥,睡得香甜。 rsv≡箴≡3≡24≡If you sit down, you will not be afraid; when you lie down, your sleep will be sweet. cuv≡箴≡3≡25≡忽然來的驚恐,不要害怕;惡人遭毀滅,也不要恐懼。 rsv≡箴≡3≡25≡Do not be afraid of sudden panic, or of the ruin of the wicked, when it comes; cuv≡箴≡3≡26≡因為耶和華是你所倚靠的;他必保守你的腳不陷入網羅。 rsv≡箴≡3≡26≡for the LORD will be your confidence and will keep your foot from being caught. cuv≡箴≡3≡27≡你手若有行善的力量,不可推辭,就當向那應得的人施行。 rsv≡箴≡3≡27≡Do not withhold good from those to whom it is due, when it is in your power to do it. cuv≡箴≡3≡28≡你那裡若有現成的,不可對鄰舍說:去吧,明天再來,我必給你。 rsv≡箴≡3≡28≡Do not say to your neighbor, 'Go, and come again, tomorrow I will give it' -- when you have it with you. cuv≡箴≡3≡29≡你的鄰舍既在你附近安居,你不可設計害他。 rsv≡箴≡3≡29≡Do not plan evil against your neighbor who dwells trustingly beside you. cuv≡箴≡3≡30≡人未曾加害與你,不可無故與他相爭。 rsv≡箴≡3≡30≡Do not contend with a man for no reason, when he has done you no harm. cuv≡箴≡3≡31≡不可嫉妒強暴的人,也不可選擇他所行的路。 rsv≡箴≡3≡31≡Do not envy a man of violence and do not choose any of his ways; cuv≡箴≡3≡32≡因為,乖僻人為耶和華所憎惡;正直人為他所親密。 rsv≡箴≡3≡32≡for the perverse man is an abomination to the LORD, but the upright are in his confidence. cuv≡箴≡3≡33≡耶和華咒詛惡人的家庭,賜福與義人的居所。 rsv≡箴≡3≡33≡The LORD's curse is on the house of the wicked, but he blesses the abode of the righteous. cuv≡箴≡3≡34≡他譏誚那好譏誚的人,賜恩給謙卑的人。 rsv≡箴≡3≡34≡Toward the scorners he is scornful, but to the humble he shows favor. cuv≡箴≡3≡35≡智慧人必承受尊榮;愚昧人高升也成為羞辱。 rsv≡箴≡3≡35≡The wise will inherit honor, but fools get disgrace. cuv≡箴≡4≡1≡眾子啊,要聽父親的教訓,留心得知聰明。 rsv≡箴≡4≡1≡Hear, O sons, a father's instruction, and be attentive, that you may gain insight; cuv≡箴≡4≡2≡因我所給你們的是好教訓;不可離棄我的法則(或作:指教)。 rsv≡箴≡4≡2≡for I give you good precepts: do not forsake my teaching. cuv≡箴≡4≡3≡我在父親面前為孝子,在母親眼中為獨一的嬌兒。 rsv≡箴≡4≡3≡When I was a son with my father, tender, the only one in the sight of my mother, cuv≡箴≡4≡4≡父親教訓我說:你心要存記我的言語,遵守我的命令,便得存活。 rsv≡箴≡4≡4≡he taught me, and said to me, 'Let your heart hold fast my words; keep my commandments, and live; cuv≡箴≡4≡5≡要得智慧,要得聰明,不可忘記,也不可偏離我口中的言語。 rsv≡箴≡4≡5≡do not forget, and do not turn away from the words of my mouth.
