TITLE: How Do I Know the Bible is True?

Ephesians 2:8 - For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith - and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God.

1. What is not faith?
   1. Intellectual
   2. Emotional
   3. Temporary
   4. Conditional

2. What is faith?
   1. Trust Jesus alone with your life
   2. Not just to believe, but to keep on believing
   3. Unconditional, total surrender
   4. Faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see (Hebrews 11:6)
   5. Examples (Abraham, Wesley)

3. What does Bible say about faith?
   1. Jesus was amazed by people’s faith. (Luke 7:9, Matthew 15:28)
   2. Faith alone is the trigger that releases divine power. (1 Peter 1:5)
   3. Faith as small as a muster seed can move the mountain (Matthew 17:20).
   4. Jesus declared, “..he who believes in me will never be thirsty.”(John 6:35)
   5. Jesus said “.. if you believe, you would see the glory of God.”(John 11:40)
   6. So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. (Romans 10:17)
